Life After Meds is a blog and Youtube channel launched in 2024 by me, Joanna. (I've added a podcast version, as well.) It's a way for me to share my journey of life after antidepressants, and offer encouragement to others going through medication withdrawal.
Check out the FAQs and my recommended withdrawal resources.
If you subscribe today, you'll be able to leave comments on the website, and you'll get an email about each new video.
Get withdrawal coaching
I offer 1:1 withdrawal coaching and group support calls for people who are tapering and who are off meds and experiencing protracted withdrawal. My friend Elissa (you can watch her healing story here) cofacilitates the group calls with me and is also available for 1:1 coaching. You can book with one or both of us here.
I'm trained and licensed as a mental health counselor in the state of Maryland, but what I offer here is not therapy, but rather coaching, because I've found that coaching is the most helpful approach for many people going through psych med withdrawal.
If you have a question that's not answered in the FAQs, you can send me a message.
One last thing: if you're having thoughts of suicide, there are support hotlines around the world. And here's what helped me through those darkest days. You're not alone. ❤️🩹

Elissa's Bio
Elissa knows this road from the inside. Over 28 years she received 47 different psychiatric medications, along with ECT, TMS, and ketamine infusions. In 2023 she fast-tapered off everything over one year, and the withdrawal was debilitating. She met Joanna through a PAWS support group in 2024, and after facilitating groups together, she now works alongside Joanna as a healing coach at Life After Meds. Elissa offers support, education, and real compassion, whether you're tapering, in withdrawal, or fully off and still struggling.
